The Grand Miracle

3 famous men died on 22nd November 1963. Aldous Huxley, the writer of 'Brave New World'. was the first at 5.20pm. He was followed by C S Lewis 10 minutes later. Within an hour both of their deaths were eclipsed by the assassination of JFK in Dallas. However, it is C S Lewis's legacy that continues to make the most significant impact across the world.

The Grand Miracle

Despite the profound differences that I have with many of Lewis's assertions and conclusions, his books are thought provoking and worth reading. He taught me that I should apply my mind to spiritual matters and ponder things that are hard to understand. He was the first apologetic writer I read.

The titles are so familiar; 'Mere Christianity', 'The Problem of Pain', 'The Abolition of man', 'The Screwtape Letters', 'Narnia', 'The Great Divorce'. If you have not read 'A Grief Observed', it is well worth the effort.

I came across some youtube videos which have been posted by CSLewisdoodle. He has illustrated the best chapter of "Miracles' entitled, 'The Grand Miracle'.
